FAQ

Sworn and notarised translation: common questions

How does notarised translation work?

The document is translated and signed by a sworn translator registered with the notary; the notary then certifies the translator’s signature. We prepare the translation and handle the notarisation for you.

What is the difference between sworn and notarised translation?

A sworn translation is delivered with the sworn translator’s signature and stamp. In a notarised translation, that signature is also certified by a notary. The institution requesting the document decides which one you need — if unsure, we recommend asking them.

What is an apostille and when do I need one?

An apostille certifies a document for use in countries that are party to the Hague Apostille Convention. In Türkiye it is issued by district governorships or governorships for administrative documents and by courthouses for judicial documents. If the destination country is not a party to the convention, consular legalisation is required.

How long does a translation take?

It depends on the length of the document and the language pair. Same-day delivery is available for short documents such as diplomas, passports or ID cards; we confirm the exact delivery date along with the price.

How is the translation price calculated?

The price depends on the language pair, page count, subject matter, notarisation and delivery speed. Send a photo or PDF of your document and we’ll give you a free quote.

Our office is at Metronom Mall, No:1/251, Yeşil Vadi Street, Başak neighbourhood. You can bring your document in person or send it online via WhatsApp or the quote form.
