A power of attorney is a declaration document prepared within the framework of general and certain limits in order for a person to act on behalf of another person with his/her free will. According to the Code of Obligations, a power of attorney is a bilateral contract covering both parties. Since the power of attorney is also an authorisation document, the person to be given power of attorney must be mentally stable and over 18 years of age. Otherwise, it will not be possible to grant a power of attorney.
