Citizenship Certificate Translation
12 August 2025What does Apostille Certified Translation mean?
For an official document to be valid in a foreign country, its validity and authenticity must be proven, i.e., an Apostille-certified translation must be provided. Documents that comply with the Apostille certificate may include public documents, marriage, birth, and/or death certificates, as well as passports and identity cards.
What is the true meaning of apostille?
Here is an example of an apostille certification: after having their diploma or passport translated into the desired language at a translation agency, individuals must have the translation certified by a notary. Immediately after the notary certification, they must obtain an apostille certification from the Governor’s Office or District Governor’s Office. Once the apostille certification is obtained, this official document will be recognized as valid in countries that are parties to the Hague Convention without the need for further verification. Once a document has been apostilled, it becomes an apostilled document.
What official documents require an Apostille?
- Diplomas showing a person’s education and training status, including elementary school, secondary school, high school, and university diplomas
- Documents showing the person’s marital status, such as an apostilled birth certificate, marriage certificates, marriage license, marriage certificate, and passport.
- Powers of attorney, letters of consent
- Court documents and decisions from civil courts, family courts, and criminal courts, apostilled criminal record documents
